Delegation Blocked from Visiting Duchiradan
On 30th April 2014,
a delegation led by British Ambassador arrived at the violence-hit village,
Duchiradan (Kilaidaung), in southern Maungdaw, to observe the latest situation
in the village. However, Police blocked them from going inside the village.
Instead, Police took them to their station. Therefore, they were unable to see
the latest condition of Rohingyas victimized by government sponsored violence
in January 2014. (Report by CR MYARF)
