On 29th of Oct 2012, at 4:00PM in Moidani Fara, Alay Than Kyaw village tract of Maungdaw south. Nasakas (boarder security forces) saw 7 dead bodies which include four women near the river bank. Nasakas forcibly called the villagers and made the dead bodies pushed away to the river by canoes. According to the eyewitnesses, there more than 100 Rohingya dead bodies are floating in the river.
Maungdaw authority planned to bring the boat people (refugees) from Kyauk Pyu and Pauk Taw to Maungdaw. But they haven’t been brought to Maungdaw yet. The authorities are planning a place for them in Leik Ya, Taung Pyo(sub-Tsp) in Maugdaw north. The authorities asked for help to bring them from Rohingya car owners, they got 5 Rohingya cars. For the first time, on 26th of Oct 2012, at 7:00AM, the cars were sent to Kyauk Pan Du (Chiita) of Maungdaw south with 250 temporary tents and the cars came back to Maungdaw without any refugees. After that, the cars were sent to Kyin Chaung village tract of Maungdaw north where they found no refugees. Finally they kept the tents in the school of Kyin Chaung. After using 4 days, the cars were sent back to the owners.
