      A Rohingya religious person was arrested by a battalion commander over the false accusation of setting fire on Rakhines’ houses during 8th June riot and was severely tortured and extorted 5300,000Ks.

      Nasakas (boarder security forces) in Maung Daw south are using a new violence on Rohingyas from Arakan state forcing Rohingyas to pay paddy for hired paddy-fields from Natalas (model villagers) though they know that the Rohingyas could not cultivate because of the 8th June riot.

      On 22nd Dec 2012, in Kyee Kan Pyin village tract, two Rohingyas, Abu Taher s/o Omar Abbaas and Mv-Zeaur Rahman s/o Gonu Meya were arrested and extorted money by Nasakas from sentry post no: 2 of B.I. H.Q.

Militaries Persecution On Six Rohingyas, Maung Daw

      On 20th Dec 2012, five Rohingyas from Nurullah village of Bagona village tract were arrested, used as forced labours, severely tortured and extorted big amount of money by a battalion captain and his forces over the false accusation of cutting wood in the forest without legal permission.

Rohingya Arrested By Nasaka, Maung Daw

      On 16th Dec 2012, at about 11:00PM, Nasakas from sentry camp of Maung Ni village, Kayin Dan(myoma) village tract entered to a house of Rohingya, Mohamed Hasson s/o Azhar Meya(28Yr) and arrested him over the false accusation of using Bangla phone. He is still remains in the Nasaka custody as he is not able to pay the Nasakas’ demand of 1200,000Ks.

Police Extorted A Rohingya Shopkeeper, Maung Daw

         On 13 Dec 2012, at 3:00PM, Win Htay Oo, a police vice corporal went to a Rohingya shopkeeper Mohamed Solam s/o Kasim (27Yr) hailed from Nyaung Chaung village tract while he was selling his own shop (Shop no: 3C-13) in Maung Daw Municipal Market where the police threatened the shopkeeper saying that he is included in the FIR list recently released by Maung Daw court. He was also told to pay money 200,000Ks otherwise he would be arrested and sentenced for long imprisonment. The police extorted 100,000Ks from Solam.

Nasakas’ Persecutions On Rohingyas Including Forced Labours, Maung Daw

          Nasakas in Maung Daw north are persecuting Rohingyas such as using forced labours free of charge, giving arbitrary punishment and snatching goods from passerbies, collecting money for cattles and collecting paddies.

Naskas Arrested A Rohingya Bamboo Seller, Maung Daw

         On 10th Dec 2012, at 11:45AM, in U Kying Cha village tract, while a Rohingya bamboo seller called Mohamed Ishak s/o Nur Ahmed(46Yr) was selling bamboos, Nasakas from Ye Myat Taung sentry camp of Nasaka area no: 5 came to his shop and asked for bamboos to fence the sentry camp free of charge. When Ishak said “I am a minor bamboo seller, I have no that big amount of bamboos, how can I give bamboos?”, the Nasakas arrested him and took with his money bag to their sentry camp. He is still in the custody.

       On 9th Dec 2012, a group of Nasaka (boader security force) extorted 800,000Ks from 2 Rohingya houses and arrested a Rohingya as he is unable to pay extortion money over the false accusation of Bangla phones using personal Bangla phones of the Nasakas.

Army Medical Group Denied Providing Treatments To Rohingyas Patients, Maung Daw


       On 5th Dec 2012, a medical group of army provided treatment to Rakhines and Hindus in Maung Daw north. The Rohingyas were told that they are not indegenouse of Myanmar and were rejected.

Rakhines With Militaries Robbed Rohingyas’ Cows, Maung Daw

       On 9th Dec 2012, from a cow tending field of Zaw Matet village tract, nearly 100 oxes (including cows) were robbed by the Rakhines from Thayay Kone Baung Natala village along with militaries. Later, as they had to realeased the cows by the order of Nasaka commander, they cut a Rohingyas’ garden down and brought to their village.

       On 5th Dec 2012, Nasakas cosfiscated the remaining farm land of Rohingyas (50 Acres) in Thayay Kone Dan village tract, Maung Daw.

President U Thein Sein’s Double Standard Operation

       OIC was about to come to Myanmar just to help the riot victims from both Rohingya and Rakhine communities in Arkan state. The helpless and hopeless victims from both sides were happy and seeing tomorrows to meet OIC with their inharmonious heart beats as they know that it is a world richest organization and hope that it would be a part of a big role for their uncertain future to be nurtured step by step and day after day. But suddenly, demonstrating (protests) waves hit in Arkan state and swept all the victim’s hopes away shocking the world mankind and human watch groups.

Nasakas Set Fire On A Market, Maung Daw


         On 5th Dec 2012, at 8:00PM, more than 30 Nasakas(boarder security forces) from Nasaka camp no: 15 of sector (7) went to Bagone Na village tract, Maung Daw where they arrested a Rohingya called Fir Mohamed s/o Mohamed Yunose(28Yr). As the Nasakas were torturing severely, he shouted for help and the villagers came out after hearing his shouting and then the Naskas ran away shooting their guns up to the sky. When the Nasakas reached a market owned by a Rohingya, Yahya s/o Abdul Jabbaar (Chowdary) during their running, they set fire on the market to show dissatisfaction that they had to release the Rohingya. The villagers could set the fire off after one fish selling hostel has been being burnt down.

Nasakas Collecting Tax for Cows, Maung Daw

         On 5th Dec 2012, Nasakas (boarder security force) from camp no: 12 of Nasaka area (5) went to Myaw Taung village tract where they took lists of the cows owned by Rohingyas checking every houses one by one and collected 500Ks per each cows including calves in Myaw Taung as a tax.
