1-     SaRaPha Officer Extort Money from Rohingyas in Northern Maungdaw
U Si Thu Aung is a SaRaPha (Military Security Affairs, SaYaPha) Officer in charge of the village of Kyein Chaung (Bawli Bazaar) and surrounding region, northern Maungdaw. Around 11AM on 15th May 2014, he and his best man, Abu Toyub (son of) U Furuk from middle Kyein Chaung, extorted Kyat 50,000 from U Ali, a bamboo trader, hails from the village of Dun-Paik of Aung Sit Pyin village tract. The accusation against him (U Ali) was that he sent one of his daughters abroad in marriage with a man.

Security Force to Impose NaSaKa-Style-Oppressive Ruling on Rohingyas

The world knows Hlun Htein department is one of the culprits in committing genocide against Rohingya people 
Maungdaw, Arakan State: Commander of Security Force (Hlun Htein) of Region 7 Camp based at the village of Alay Than Kyaw (HaishshuRata) in southern Maungdaw summoned administrators of Rohingya villages and Rohingya community leaders in the region for a meeting on 11th May 2014. In the meeting, he said they (Security Force) would impose NaSaKa style rules and regulations on Rohingya community again.

Maungdaw, Arakan- Rohingya Fishermen in Maungdaw Township are facing crises as they are unable to have free access to the Bay of Bengal. Maungdaw authority charge huge amount of money each time they set off for fishing.

Myanmar Military Kill an Innocent Rohingya in Maungdaw

Maungdaw, Arakan state- On 4th May 2014, Military belong to battalion 354 based at Maungdaw High School arrested an innocent Rohingya under a false accusation of possessing an illegal pistol. They brutally beat him up until 2AM on 5th May 2014. Consequently, he died at 3AM on 6th April 2014.

1-     British Delegation Blocked from Visiting Duchiradan
On 30th April 2014, a delegation led by British Ambassador arrived at the violence-hit village, Duchiradan (Kilaidaung), in southern Maungdaw, to observe the latest situation in the village. However, Police blocked them from going inside the village. Instead, Police took them to their station. Therefore, they were unable to see the latest condition of Rohingyas victimized by government sponsored violence in January 2014. (Report by CR MYARF)

Myanmar Military Severely Beat Two Rohingya Passers-By

Maungdaw, Arakan- A Myanmar army severely beat two Rohingya passers-by at the village of Ye-Dwin-Byin (Kowar Bil) under Taung Pyo sub-township in northern Maungdaw on 1st May 2014. The Rohingyas were tortured for no reasons.
