Breaking News: Rakhine Extremists Throng to Support 969 Terror Campaign in Maungdaw

Maungdaw, Arakan: A 969 Terror Wing from Yangon (Rangoon) arrived in Maungdaw this morning (i.e. on 28th December 2013 morning). Hundreds of Rakhine extremists thronged to the Myoma Kyaung-Htaike (Myoma Monastery) where the group’s campaign is being held. The terror group is suspected to have arrived to campaign to destablize the peaceful situation resurfacing in the region.

Buthidaung, Arakan: Around 12:30AM on 23rd December 2013, a joint force of Police, Military and Hlun Hteins (Security Force) arbitrarily arrested an innocent Rohingya in the village of Payung-Chaung Dhodan of Buthidaung Township. Having alleged him of possessing illegal Bangladeshi Mobile Phone, they severely tortured him and extorted Kyat 150,000.

1- Rohingya Houses Robbed by Rakhines in Security Force Uniform

In Northern Maung on 11th December 2013 morning: A group of Rakhine robbers in Hlun Htein (Security Force) Uniform broke into two Rohingya houses in the village of Gila Taali of Kyauk Chaung (Shil Khali) village tract at 12:40AM on 11th December 2013. The houses belong to U Lalu s/o U Rashid Ahmad and U Kabir Ahmad s/o U Asho Ali respectively.

Rakhine Police Rampage Rohingya Village in Buthidaung

Police Officer, U Than Kyaw, from the Nyaung-Chaung Police Station of Buthidaung Township is rampaging a nearby Rohingya village called Pyong-Chaung. Just to extort money, he is endangering Rohingyas' living condition in the village under false and fabricated charges against Rohingyas of possesing illegal Bangladeshi Mobile Phones or being human trafficking agents.

A Rakhine Drug-Weapon Smuggling Ring Busted by Myanmar Military

On 11th December 2013, 10 Military personnel from the Sub-MOC base in Taung-Byo Sub-township (north-western Maungdaw bordering Bangladesh) raided Rakhine houses at the (Rakhine) village of Thaya-Gone of Thay-Chaung village tract (in the Taung-Byo sub-township) as the village is notorious for illegal weapons and drugs smuggling. [(The Sub-MOC base is operating under MOC (ာငူာငာmilitary operation command) 15 in Buthdaung Township.] They stopped four Rakhines suspected to be drug and weapon smugglers at a sentry post at the village. The military found a few sachets of drugs and a pistol in the suspects through body cavity search. Therefore, the military arrested them on the spot and started to interrogate them.
