MYARF Report | Written by M.S. Anwar
25th March 2015
Maungdaw, Arakan-
“Rakhine 969 extremists are ultra-active nowadays in northern Maungdaw.
They gather at the monastery of “Taung-Paw” in the village of
Kyein-Chaung (Bawli Bazaar)” says an eye-witness. Similary, it has also
been learnt that 969 Rakhine terrorists gather everyday at the monastery
of Myothit village of Nga-Kura (Nagpura) village tract and at the
monastery of Kyan-Pyin village, northern Maungdaw.
These
terrorists sneak into the nearby Rohingya villages at night. They throw
fire-causing chemical powder on Rohingya homes, try to torch them
(Rohingya homes) and also try to beat and kill Rohingyas.
-On 18th
March 2014 night, some of those terrorists attempted to torch Rohingya
homes in the village of Ridhaa of Aung Sit Pyin village tract, in the
village of Ywa Thit of the Kyein Chaung village tract and in the village
of Chung-Gaung of Laung-Doong village tract. However, Rohingya people
in charge of the sentry duty and security of the villages together
successfully prevented them from doing destructions in their
(Rohingyas’) villages.
-At 8PM on 21st
March 2014, the headmaster of the Kyein-Chaung High School and the
husband of the Dr. Nu Kethi San (incharge of Kyein Chaung Hospital)
gathered some 20 Rakhine terrorists. They switched off the electric
light at the east of hospital premise so that the terrorists could plot
secretly. However, they could not harm any Rohingya homes due to the
Rohingyas on the duty of the security of the village. Fearing attacks by
Rakhine terrorists, Rohingyas, nowadays, need to be on high alert day
and night.
-On the same day (i.e. 21st
March 2014), while Rohingya men were performing Friday prayer, some
Rakhine terrorists attempted to torch some Rohingya homes in the village
of ‘Padaka Dewan Ali,” northern Maungdaw. However, many Rohingya women
gathered and altogether forced them (the terrorists) to flee.
-Besides, between 3PM and 4PM yesterday, some flying balloon planes with the fire-causing chemical material inside (Read Details HERE)
were seen flying over the village of Myoma Kayintan (Shidda Fara). Some
Rohingyas managed to catch one of them. Pictures are shown below.
