Pauktaw,
Arakan- A Rohingya woman, admitted to Sittwe General Hospital for
her baby delivery on 5th April 2014, died due to the lack
of medical treatments. The similar kind of cases have already
happened tens of times. Hence, local Rohingyas view that the
authority in the hospital deliberately ignore or give the wrong
injections to kill Rohingya patients admitted to the hospital.
Noor
Begum is an Internally Displaced Rohingya woman living at the IDP
camps of Anna-Raing in Pauktaw township. She was admitted to Sittwe
general hospital on 5th
April 2014 evening. But she passed away after a few hours as the
doctors and the nurses in the hospital neglected her and her dire
condition” said Headway News Group, a source in Sittwe.
“It
has happened many tens of times before. They simply do not treat
Rohingya patients. Worst, they sometimes kill Rohingya patients by
giving them wrong injections. No Rohingya patient has been discharged
alive from the hospital. This could also be a case of deliberate
killing” added the source.
