Rohingyas have been the victims of genocidal violence by Government-sponsored Rakhine extremists

1- Rakhine Administrator Extort Money from Rohingya and Seize their Properties

a) (Maungdaw, Arakan State)

U Kyaw Sein (a Rakhine extremist), Administrator of the village of Kyauk Pandu in southern Maungdaw is extorting money from Rohingya villagers and seizing their properties by abusing his power.

Around 12PM on 7^th April 2014, the village administrator of Kyauk Pandu, U Kyaw Sein (a Rakhine extremist), seized the woods belonged to Rahimullah (son of) Abdu Salam from the village of Zaydi Ywa Gyo of Kyauk Pandu village tract. The woods worth of Kyat 40,000 were seized them from his betel farm.

On 2^nd April 2014, the administrator asked Mv Hashim Ullah (son of) Laal Meah (from the village of Kyauk Pandu Zaydi Ywa) for Kyat 50,000 for nothing. The Rohingya refused to pay the money. So, the administrator asked the police to arrest him. Since the police raided the home of Hashimullah 2/3 times a day so as to arrest him, eventually, he had to pay Kyat 50,000 to the administrator to escape the arrest. (Report by CR MYARF)

b) Around 12:30PM on 8^th April 2014, around 8 military arrived at the village of Ywet-Nyo-Taung, northern Maungdaw, on vehicle. They made video of the whole village and left. (Report by CR MYARF)

2- Rakhine Extremists Seen Hiding Weapons in Buthidaung

(Buthidaung Township, Arakan state)

Around 9AM on 6^th April 2014, 20 Rakhine extremists including Aung Naing (son of) Aung Kyaw Hla, Maung Phyu and Aung Hla Phyu (from the village of Nga-Pyau-Chaung of Gutaa Pyin village tract of Buthidaung township) were seen hiding 10 boxes of guns in the Nga-Pyua-Chaung mountain. They were again seen in the valley of Doilla-Ziri with weapons on 7^th April 2014. (Report by CR MYARF)

3- Rakhine Extremists Make up False Scenario to Squeez Money from Rathedaung Rohingyas

(Rathedaung township, Arakan state)

On 3^rd April 2014, some Rakhine extremists slaughtered a buffalo at the village of Annauk-Pyin of Rathedaung township. Then, they went and complaned to the on duty military officer, Captain Phyu Sethu, "*Kulars from Annauk Pyin village have slaughtered our buffalo." So, the captain summoned the villagers of Annauk-Pyin and accused them of slaughtering the animal. Then, he threatened them to compensate its market price to the Rakhine extremists. Hence, he, subsequently, squeezed Kyat 500,000 from the villagers for the Rakhine extremists. (Report by Dildaar Hussain, Sallam Oic Group)
