On 22nd
Dec 2012, in Kyee Kan Pyin village tract, two Rohingyas, Abu Taher s/o Omar
Abbaas and Mv-Zeaur Rahman s/o Gonu Meya were arrested and extorted money by
Nasakas from sentry post no: 2 of B.I. H.Q.
According to a
fisherman who wanted to be anonymous, on 22nd Dec 2012, at 11:00AM,
Nasakas (Boarder Security Forces) from sentry post no: 2 closer to the B.I.H.Q
(Boarder Immigration Head Quarter) area in Kyee Kan Pyin village tract went
into the village and asked two Rohingyas, Abu Thaher s/o Omar Abbaas and
Mv-Zeaur Rahman s/o Gonu Meya for 3 viss of shrimps free of charge by the time
they were fishing in their own shrimp breeding pond. When the Rohingyas said to
the Nasakas “It is a big amount, 3 viss of shrimps cost at least 18,000Ks, we
have no that much shrimp”, they were arrested and brought to the Nasaka
custody. After that they were released after being fined 20,000Ks.
The Nasakas
have been forcibly taking from us anything they want rice, paddy, fish,
vegetables, cocks, goats, etc and any one whether it be rich or poor hesitates
are punished strongly or extorted large amoung of money, the fisherman added.
