The extortion of money from
Arakanese Rohingya by Myanmar Governmental Personals especially NaSaKa ( Boder
Security Force) and Police Force is wide spreading day by day, usually with
false accusation. According to one of
our correspondents, 3.8 millions Kyats
has been extorted from four Rohingyas detainees
in Ngakura of Maungdaw Township , Arakan State by NaSaKa personals of
the said Area.
A team of 30 NaSaKas lead by a Lieutanant Commander Win Laing belonging to NaSaKa outpost Area No. 5 raided Keari
Farang Market ( Kyet Yoo Pyin Market) on 2nd January,2013 at around
8:30pm. It has been reported that millions Kyats worth properties of Rohingya shopkeepers had been damaged and looted during the raid by
NaSaKas.
During the raid, NaSaKa arrested four innocent
Rohingya Shop Owners from their respective shop with no reason and threatened to arrest more. The
victims of arrest are identified as
follows :
SID Name Father’s Name Age
1. Md Hashim Ferdan 16 years
2. Md Ali Abdul
Hamid 23years
3. Md
Hashim Lalu 17years
4. Md
Ayas Kala Meah 18years
It has been learned by our source that, all the detainees
were eventually released by NaSaKa personals after extorting 3.8millions of Kyats
in total.
Wide spread hostility toward the Rohingya through the
regime inhabited their naturalization especially after the pre-planned State sponsored ethno religious conflict broke
out in Arakan State, the government and Rakhine Extremist ultimately decided to
deport all Rohingyas depriving them of
money and belongings because they
consider it’s taking longer time to die due to starvation . Notably, there was an ethnic cleansing slogan
apparently designed on a large signboard in front of every immigration office
thought Arakan State which read in Burmese “The earth cannot swallow a nation, a nation can swallow another nation “. However the slogan is now being seen
changed with “ The nation couldn’t be swallowed by Earth nor by Another nation , instead a nation could be swallowed by
striving them of Money “ apparently the nation referencing to Rohingyas.
Since the Military took over the country’s power in 1962,
the ethnic Rohingyas are being increasingly swallowed by many methods of ethnic
cleansing. Today President Thien Sien, a former Military General
is widely praised for so called democracy
transition in Burma and lifting economic
sanction by the West, on the other hand, the ethnic cleansing with every possible method,
unfolding human right atrocities and war crime against Muslim Rohingyas are
more active in progress on daily basis. As a consequences hundreds of thousands
of Rohingyas has been driven to the
makeshift camps in their homeland with no basic need and medical care while
growing number of them are risking their lives on risky smuggling boats heading to other countries via Bay of
Bangal where they risk arrest, detention
and possible send-back to Myanmar.
