Two Rakhine (Magh) Extremists Torch a Rohinngya House
Around
1:30PM on 30th March 2014, two Rakhine extremist youths,
on a vehicle, entered the village of Thaung-Paing-Nya (Sommon-Nya) of
southern Maungdaw. They fled as soon as they were able to hurl two
balloons with fire-causing chemical powder inside at the rooftop of
the house belongs to Shariff Hussain (son of) Jamal Hussain. It
caused fire at the house. The villagers came altogether to extinguish
the fire. So, the house only got burnt partially.

Maungdaw Police Rob a Rohingya House
Around
2AM on 31st March 2014, Maungdaw Police broke into the
house of Daw Hasina, a Rohingya woman and local of Quarter 2,
Maungdaw. They, then, robbed her house to their hearts' content.

Bangladeshi Rakhines (Maghs) Roam in Northern Maungdaw
There
is a report that many Bangladeshi Rakhines are seen to be roaming in
the villages in northern and north-western Maungdaw and under Taung
Pyo sub-township. Rohingyas suspect them to be Bangladeshi Rakhines
that involved in torching hundreds of Rohingya houses in recent days
in the region. They are still in the said Rakhine (Magh) villages
because they are unable to cross the border and go back to Bangladesh
as Bangladesh Border Security Force (BGB) has tightened the security
along the border.

Some Claim-To-Be Hindus Caught Carrying Weapons
Around
2:30PM on 29th March 2014, Rohingya sentinels in the
village of Kyauk Hle Kha in region 6, northern Maungdaw, caught some
people claimed to be Bangladeshi Hindus. They were carrying some
swords, daggers and other arms with them. Then, Rohingyas handed them
over to the Security Force Camp at Region 6.
Rakhine
extremists use minority Hindus against Rohingyas in Arakan
(especially because their looks resemble Rohingyas') and make them
carry weapons like these. When some Hindus try to refuse to be used,
they recieve threats to their lives.

Rakhine (Magh) Extremists Rob Rohingya Houses
At
8PM on 29th March 2014, two Rakhines (Maghs) from Rakhine
villages of Kyauk-Pandu village tract, northern Maungdaw, entered
Rohingya village of Zaydi of the same village tract. They roamed in
the village under the pretext of finding out Frogs for their food.
Hence, the Rohingya villagers fear that their village may be torched
by Rakhines like it happened recently in the region.
Besides,
Rakhine (Magh) extremists from newly encamped security post in the
village raid the Rohingya village in Kyauk Pandu and rob bamboos,
woods, livestocks like cattle and goats and other valueable
materials. Kyaw Aye, the son-in-law of the village administrator Kyaw
Thein (a Rakhine), is at the forefront of the robberies.

Armed Rakhine (Magh) Extremists Seen in Kyein Chaung
On
30th March 2014 evening, locals of Kyein Chaung (Bawli
Baazar), northern Maungdaw, withnessed that many stranger Rakhines
(Maghs) armed with long swords on Hilux Van made their way to the
Monastery at the village.
