Around 1:30PM on 30th March 2014, two Rakhine extremist youths, on a vehicle, entered the village of Thaung-Paing-Nya (Sommon-Nya) of southern Maungdaw. They fled as soon as they were able to hurl two balloons with fire-causing chemical powder inside at the rooftop of the house belongs to Shariff Hussain (son of) Jamal Hussain. 3- Bangladeshi Rakhines (Maghs) Roam in Northern Maungdaw
There is a report that many Bangladeshi Rakhines are seen to be roaming in the villages in northern and north-western Maungdaw and under Taung Pyo sub-township. Rohingyas suspect them to be Bangladeshi Rakhines that involved in torching hundreds of Rohingya houses in recent days in the region. They are still in the said Rakhine (Magh) villages because they are unable to cross the border and go back to Bangladesh as Bangladesh Border Security Force (BGB) has tightened the security along the border.

4- Some Claim-To-Be Hindus Caught Carrying Weapons
Around 2:30PM on 29th March 2014, Rohingya sentinels in the village of Kyauk Hle Kha in region 6, northern Maungdaw, caught some people claimed to be Bangladeshi Hindus. They were carrying some swords, daggers and other arms with them. Then, Rohingyas handed them over to the Security Force Camp at Region 6.
Rakhine extremists use minority Hindus against Rohingyas in Arakan (especially because their looks resemble Rohingyas') and make them carry weapons like these. When some Hindus try to refuse to be used, they recieve threats to their lives.

5- Rakhine (Magh) Extremists Rob Rohingya Houses
At 8PM on 29th March 2014, two Rakhines (Maghs) from Rakhine villages of Kyauk-Pandu village tract, northern Maungdaw, entered Rohingya village of Zaydi of the same village tract. They roamed in the village under the pretext of finding out Frogs for their food. Hence, the Rohingya villagers fear that their village may be torched by Rakhines like it happened recently in the region.
Besides, Rakhine (Magh) extremists from newly encamped security post in the village raid the Rohingya village in Kyauk Pandu and rob bamboos, woods, livestocks like cattle and goats and other valueable materials. Kyaw Aye, the son-in-law of the village administrator Kyaw Thein (a Rakhine), is at the forefront of the robberies.
