Rohingyas Are Extorted And Arrested By Fake Accusation, Maung Daw

On 9th Dec 2012, a group of Nasaka (boader security force) extorted 800,000Ks from 2 Rohingya houses and arrested a Rohingya as he is unable to pay extortion money over the false accusation of Bangla phones using personal Bangla phones of the Nasakas.
According to a Maung Ni villager, on 9th Dec 2012, at 11:00PM, in Maung Ni village of Kayin Dan (myoma) village tract, seven Nasakas from sentry camp of Maung Ni village tract with their Bangla phones entered into three Rohingya houses of (1) Sofi d/o Shukkur, (2) Emam Hussein and (3) Tufail Shama saying to check Bangla Phones and put the phones they brought in these houses. After that, pretending as they found the phones in the houses, the Nasakas threatened them saying that “we found Bangla phones in your houses, you will be sentences to jail for years otherwise you must pay money”. After the threatening, the Nasakas extorted 400,000Ks per house from Sofi and Emam Hussein while a family member from Tufail’s house was arrested and taken to the Nasaka camp for not being able to pay 400,000Ks.
These houses are closer to the Nasaka camp, there is no possibility to use Bangla phones in the presense of such a Nasaka sentry camp. But Nasakas want money from Rohingyas no matter they are innocents or guilty. Similar cases on Rohingyas have been being carried out by polices, Sarapa, etc also.
