Buddhist Rakhines in western Burma are opposing plans by authorities to set up a refugee camp for Muslim Rohingyas who fled recent deadly violence between the two communities, officials and residents say, as a U.N. panel expressed concern over the government's treatment of the Rohingya stateless group.

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - A committee of the U.N. General Assembly expressed serious concern on Monday over violence in Myanmar between Rohingya Muslims and Buddhists and called upon the government to address reports of human rights abuses by some authorities.
The 193-nation General Assembly's Third Committee, which focuses on rights issues, approved by consensus a non-binding resolution, which Myanmar said contained a "litany of sweeping allegations, accuracies of which have yet to be verified."

Police Extorting From Rohingyas Using Their Collaborators, Maung Daw
Polices in Maung Daw are persecuting Rohingyas using their
adopted collaborators (informers) such as extorting large amount of money and golds
threatening them by various ways.
There are four collaborators in Ward-2. Among them Maabu
s/o Mohamed Amin, Pappu s/o Mohammed work for Hla Myint and Feroz Khan s/o Basa
Meya and Goni s/o (?) work for Aung Kyaw Khant.
The four police collaborators hailed from Ward-2 work for
the Polices Hla Myint (3-sticks) and Aung Kyaw Khant (1-star) as informers. The
collaborators and the Polices are extorting large amount of money including golds
from almost all the Rohingyas living in Ward-2 negotiating with the Ward-2 administrator
Mojiullah s/o Gura Meya.

On 22nd Nov 2012, militaries in Nurulla
village, Bagone Na village tract of Maung Daw town ship arrested a Rohingya
cleric called Mv-Mohamed Alom s/o Haji-Abdul Shukkur and handed him over to the
police for nothing and was sent to police custody.

Ullah(52Yr) and Nozum s/o Nurul Haque(45Yr) there they looted and destroyed
house used materials and tortured a woman namely Shuna Banu d/o Haron Roshid(25Yr)
in her house in the absence of her husband.

Nasakas Arrested Two Rohingyas, Maung Daw
On 16th Nov 2012, at 12:00AM (night) a Nasaka
called Mi Cho from Maung Nin Nasaka camp arrested Nurul Haque s/o Ali Juhar(34Yr)
from Maung Ni village, Kaying Tan(myoma) village tract, Maung Daw saying his
mad daughter has complained against him. He was released after extorting
20,000Ks.
And then on the same day, the Nasaka also arrested Yunose
s/o Iss Haak hailed from the same village for nothing and took him to the
Nasaka custody. He escaped from the custody after 2 days on 18th Nov
2012. Nasaka could arrest him again but this time Nasakas tortured him very
seriously and kept in the custody, he is about to die.
Rakhines Set Fire To Challenge On Obama’s Speech, Maung Daw
On 19th Nov 2012, a group of Rakhine set
fire on a neighboring Rohingya village showing dissatisfaction on the speech of
President Barak Obama. There 10 houses have been burnt down and others are
still burning.
According to a reliable source, on 19th Nov
2012 at 8:00PM, in Zaw Matet vilage tract, Maung Daw south, a group with more
than 50 Rakhines from Kaing Kyi village set fire on a Rohingya village called
Hin Thaya shouting “CALL YOUR OBAMA???” again and again. In the village, there
are more than 40 households. Among them, 10 houses have been burnt down and
others are still burning.

refugees Sulaiman s/o Ali (35Yr), Sultan s/o Ali(52Yr) and Abdul Khair s/o
Abdur Rahman(18Yr) hailed from San Tet Maw village tract of Pauk Taw town ship
were taken to Pauk Taw police station over the allegation of denying to sign on
the form where the authority mentioned their ethnicity as “BENGALI”.
